Is there ever a right time?

That Steven never showed up at our Sepang race. I am sure he was scared off by my challenge. Haha!

Sometimes I wonder, if I should have waited a little longer before getting married. Here’s a question I’ve never been able to answer satisfactorily: do you wait until you know everything about the person before deciding to get married or do you jump in, without knowing all, and figure things out as you go along?

A light-hearted look at how to pronounce 2010. It just goes to show the diversity, or the possibilities, of the English language. :)

Gotta tell Boon about this, he’s always worried texting will affect his ability to write reports!

Maybe I need to work out like the muscle men I saw at Venice Beach last year.

Just when I think this week couldn’t get any worse, I’m (unpleasantly) proven wrong.

Why didn’t anyone tell me that the Leng’s ex, Steven, also WORKS at the gym that Anna gave me the voucher for?

It’s not enough that I can’t fit into my pants and I don’t have a job. No, Mr. Macho ex-boyfriend has to pop up like a boil and ooze his way back into Leng’s life. He even had coffee with her while she was waiting for me at the gym.

Found this article from Esquire a really good read on how, depoite there being so much negativity surrounding the english language, there are some aspects of it we should celebrate because we have succeeded in making modern English “more efficient, more economical, more effective, plainer — in a good way — than it used to be, all of which makes it better suited to its ultimate purpose: getting what’s inside us out.”
It is something I will bear in mind even as I am writing my vows for the wedding.

It’ll be nice if Boon can give me a quote like this for my wedding day:

There is nothing nobler or more admirable than when two people who see eye to eye keep house as man and wife, confounding their enemies and delighting their friends. —Homer

But it’s ok, I’ll settle for his super-secret ’special’ item.

Taking a break from exercising to learn some new euphemisms.
I think they will spice up my conversation!

Today, I lived a little and added a little garnish to my lunch.

Who does that idiot think he is, gate crashing my engagement party? I don’t care how much Leng’s parents adore him. Steven is not going to be invited to MY wedding with MY Leng. Not his Leng. MY Leng. I wish I had a punching bag right now.

At least the cake-tasting session with Leng and Anna went well. Looks like Norman managed to get some really great shots of us tasting the cakes, too. Anna’s chef really out did himself. I kept trying to steal seconds of the raspberry and chocolate mousse cake but Anna kept pushing the plate away just before I got another helping. :( I know she’s only trying to help, though. I suppose it’s for the best. I need to lose weight fast, and extra cake isn’t going to help me.

This is one about hamburgers
This is forced reading… so I will cut down on the ‘wrong’ foods and get healthy in time for the wedding.
:(

It should be, 'Yes, He Did'
And Obama did, apparently. He was inaugurated on 20th Jan and the nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize closed on 1st Feb. So it was more the image-making machine of Obama’s camp that won.

From an online blogger: ‘So can I win a Nobel prize for Physics on the basis I might invent warp drive?’
But this seriously calls into question the validity and even sanctity of the Nobel prize.
